After a six hour drive in drenching rain we arrived in Hyannis only to find that our 12 Noon Ferry had been cancelled, … We got on the “Drive on- Drive off” and were ready to go over on whatever the next ferry available would be and get our car whenever they sent it over. Miracle of miracles, not only were we going over but there was space for our car on the 5:30 ferry. We were under way and just out of Hyannis Harbor when the captain announced that we were going back due to a maintenance issue! We turned around and got within 25 yards of the dock and he announced that the problem was solved, the engines reversed and we were on the way again! 2 1/2 hours later we landed in Nantucket!Good thing we had time for Lobster Rolls and Rose Wine.
