I was a colleague of Ed Visser some 30 years ago at GSA Region 2 at 26 Federal Plaza. I was just graduated from college. We worked together in the same office for about 3 years. Ed spoke about Masonry a good deal, a topic I found quaint but not at all interesting at the time. Thirty years later, in 2008 I became a Master Mason and thought about Ed – it is only now I learn of his death in the same year I was raised. He was a charming, engaging man – 30 years ahead of me in his conservatism (I think I’m now far to his right!). I’m saddened I wasn’t able to share my being raised with him – in a very real way, he inspired me.

Rory proves that the human spirit will beat all odds. This was a moving story. We are so proud of Rory. Not only for helping his team get a record but for also getting back in the pool and to have the “swim of his life”!

Any chance that Irene McGuire was born around 1924 and lived in the Bronx? My mom was best friends with an Irene McGuire and I have a photo of them. The woman on your website could be the same woman in the photo I have.
